What We Believe

"As followers of Jesus Christ, we stand against racism in all its myriad forms. As Presbyterians, we have specific resources in our tradition that can be useful in turning away from racism and towards the diversity and justice that God desires. In particular, we have received wisdom regarding sin, confession, and repentance." - Facing Racism: A Vision of the Intercultural Community Churchwide Antiracism Policy

The concern for "immigration lays at the heart of who Presbyterians are as a people of faith. We believe in a God who migrated to the human condition in the person Jesus and we adhere to the Judeo-Christian tradition of providing hospitality and doing justice. Further, the Constitution of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has several provisions that address specific needs of immigrant fellowships/congregations. To view a short summary of these provisions of the Book of Order and provisions that relate to how we join God in God's mission in the world in communityplease click here."
